Judge Comments: The judges were unanimous that this was their winner this year and had the following comments to make. The owners wanted a great kitchen as a feature to the entertaining areas, with some of the appliances and a work area away from the dining space.
The stunning kitchen displays drama and style, makes a bold statement, and balances the space with proportion and strength. The use of the dark slab marble to encase the long island, and to clad the back wall gives a strong impression. The linear white wall units give relief to the solid colour and reinforces the strong lines of the island. The canter levered solid oak floating table bisects the island, adds a focal point and makes the most of the expansive space for entertaining. The high polished stainless steel drawer fronts with a negative detail handles complete this creation that won the unanimous approval of the judges.
