NKBA Conference: 20-21 July 2012 Taupo

The 2012 NKBA Conference will be held in Taupo- Friday 20 July to Saturday 21 July 2012.

Feedback after 2011's conference is that this is a great event.

For 2012 the conference will only run for the Friday and Saturday. Feedback from last year said that Sunday was a difficult day. Many delegates wanted or had to leave early on Sunday and so missed the speakers and events. It was therefore decided to leave Sunday free to allow delegates to travel home, sightsee around Taupo or nurse their hangovers.

This year there will be a more of a hands on feel to the NKBA conference. Less speakers and more emphasis on interaction. As conference is the only time the NKBA meets as an entire country there will be workshops and forums on how the NKBA functions. It is a chance for your to have some input into what the association can do for you.

Also there is a series of workshops planned. Unconfirmed topics include, project management systems and contracts, basic cabinet making for beginners, freehand perspective drawing of designs, and social media marketing.

Socially there will be time to meet and catch up over light refreshments at the trade stands, a big Friday night event hosted by spazioCasa, and of course the Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday night.
