NKBA is proud to introduce the 2024 Excellence in Design Awards judging panel, a mix of some of the brightest stars in the industry. This year we're also excited to add a special guest judge to the lineup!

Morgan Cronin, Cronin Kitchens
Winner of the 2023 Supreme Kitchen Design Award

Morgan Cronin is the Director of Cronin Kitchens, an Auckland-based company he established at just 20 years old. Still going strong after 35 years, Cronin Kitchens is known throughout the country for its beautiful, considered designs.

Having won the Supreme Kitchen Design Award an incredible five times, along with multiple other local and international awards, this is also Morgan’s fifth foray into judging the Eid Awards.

A cabinet maker by trade, Morgan is as passionate and knowledgeable about the quality of the production process as he is about design. Morgan says that “being in complete control of every detail from the design to the formulation of dimensions and details of every single piece of every cabinet that makes up a Cronin Kitchen, from on site preparation and measure, to manufacture and installation is why my kitchens are perfectly fitted within their surroundings. Quality never goes out of style!”

Drawing on his extensive experience in all aspects of design and manufacturing, Morgan’s goal is to continue to be inspired and innovative and to meet the needs of his clients.

Alongside his passion for kitchens and his family, Morgan has been a keen surfer for the past 47 years and still sees himself as a proud “frothing grom” (an enthusiastic young surfer)!

Davinia Sutton, Detail by Davinia Sutton
2023 Designer of the Year

Winning a host of Eid awards in recent years, including 2023 Designer of the Year and 2023 Supreme Bathroom Design, Canterbury-based designer Davinia Sutton brings a wealth of knowledge to the panel with her extensive experience as both a winning entrant and a judge.

She has a passion for everything design and as the current Vice President of NKBA, she has a sincere desire to see NKBA extend further, building on the foundations that have been created and growing them to a level that it is truly respected amongst the industry and consumers alike.

Outside of work, you'll find Trudi spending quality time at the lake with her family.
